Considering the extreme nature of this sport and its susceptibility to unpredictable weather, all events may be subject to change due to uncontrollable circumstances.
The Rockies represent the largest region within IFSA with over 800 athletes in RMFS. With the number of events we sanction, we can ensure our regional athletes have access to three regional competitions. If you are seeded in the National events, we will ensure you have one. Out-of-region athletes will only be considered if there are available spots. If an out-of-region athlete registers without first contacting RMFS, their registration will be canceled, and they will receive a refund.
RMFS and IFSA are solely responsible for event registration and sanctioning these events, while the host mountain takes on the organization, management, and staffing coordination with a designated Event Organizer at the helm. RMFS will share event details on our website once we receive information from the Event Organizer at each host mountain. This information typically becomes available approximately two weeks before each event and includes details such as ticketing, lodging, venue, and spectator directions.
Initially, you are limited to registering for three regional events across all age divisions. However, if specific events do not reach full capacity, we will open registration to everyone, allowing you to participate in more than three events if desired. Please reach out directly to RMFS if you are wanting more than 3 and see openings before registering.
When reviewing the events on the RMFS website, please ensure that you pay attention to the divisions. It’s important to note that not all events accommodate all disciplines or divisions. You also have the option to filter the schedule by these divisions for your convenience.
Attention, snowboarders! There will be a restricted number of events available to you, based on the number of snowboarding members we have. This measure is implemented to ensure optimal competition and maximum rider participation, leading to full podiums.
This year, we are offering a U12 tour featuring seven stops (Steamboat, Wolf Creek, Crested Butte, Monarch, Taos, Vail, and Loveland). It’s important to note that the U12 boys’ ski division is by far our most popular division and tends to sell out rapidly.
